Week 28
About wiggleman:
By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of his head to his heels. He can blink his eyes, which now sport lashes. With his eyesight developing, he may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. He's also developing billions of neurons in his brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world
About momma:
How far along? 28 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 10 lbs
Maternity clothes? Yes and I love them. I still wear my regular jeans on the weekend though
Stretch marks? yup....BOOOOOOOOO
Sleep: Love it and I don’t get up much throughout the night unless we don’t have the humidifier on.
Best moment this week: Non-baby related…COLTS WINNING THE AFC CHAMPIONSHIPS!
Movement: He’s very active and I can tell what his sleep patterns are. He’s been flipping a lot lately too.
Food cravings: Veggies, steak, cheese sauce, salt and vinegar chips and my new love... Bailey's flavored ice cream, oh and now Brach’s Jelly Beans. Thanks Tri for that one!
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: nada, but I am getting Braxton Hicks Contractions
Belly Button in or out? in, but it’s starting to get more shallow
What I miss: Not getting stuck when I lay on my back.
What I am looking forward to: Seeing wiggleman on Monday for my next appointment. I’m not looking forward to this, but I have my glucose-screening test on Monday too.
Weekly Wisdom: Same as always, enjoy your pregnancy
Milestones: Getting closer to meeting this guy

Great weekend so far!
Last night Chris and I decided to go to a few stores to look at their selection of cribs. We were going to then order one from JcPenney. We stopped at Kittles and they had a floor sample clearance crib. We talked to the sales lady and found out that the crib had just been put together that night and was selling around 70% off. So after talking to Uncle Adam we bought the crib today. I'm sooo in love with it and I can't believe we actually have a crib in our house!
We really haven't started doing much in his room yet, but I had to post pictures of his crib
My mom and I went shopping today and got wiggle-man a few more outfits and we had to pick up my mom's favorite onesie.....
Tomorrow Chris and I are going the Colts AFC Championship game and I can't wait!

3 Months
3 months from today is my due date! So at the latest I have 3 months and 1 week until this little dude will be here! In other exciting news, my shower invites should be going out by the end of next week! I can't wait for my shower on 2/21 because my nesting instinct is starting to kick in. I really want to work on the nursery, but we're waiting until after the shower to see what we need to buy. So I'm Mr. Clean magic erasing the base boards. Once we get the crib that Uncle Adam is ordering this weekend we'll finish the painting.

27 weeks
About Baby:
This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. He's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing his eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While his lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if he were born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother him, so just relax and enjoy the tickle
About Momma:
How far along? 27 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 8 or 9 lbs probably more, but I weigh myself on Monday mornings.
Maternity clothes? Yes and I love them. I still wear my regular jeans on the weekend though
Stretch marks? yup....BOOOOOOOOO
Sleep: Love it!
Best moment this week: Chris finally feeling him move!
Movement: He’s still very active and I can tell what his sleep patterns are
Food cravings: Veggies, steak, cheese sauce, salt and vinegar chips and my new love... Bailey's flavored ice cream, oh and now Brach’s Jelly Beans. Thanks Tri for that one!

Honest Scrap Award
I was given the Honest Scrap Award from Elaine at Little Bitty Pickle. I'm supposed to tell you 10 random, honest things about myself. This should be easy since I'm pretty random.
1. I have a tattoo on my lower back. It's angel wings and when my parent's leave me I'm going to get their initials put in the wings.
2. I'm terrified of big groups of things. Like birds, people, ants etc. It grosses me out so much!
3. Every year I do the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure. Not because it's helping to raise money for the cause, but because I love spending that time with my dad. We've always had a close relationship, but no where near as close as me and my mom. When we do the walk we have that hour where we can talk about anything and everything.
4. I love working. I love having somewhere I have to go and something I have to do every day. Yes I get burnt out and need my time off, but I love having a job.
5. I want to start eating a ton of junk food so that way I will be showing more and people won't guess that I'm 4 1/2 5 months pregnant. But at the same time I don't want that extra weight to take off after little dude is born.
6. I get annoyed very easily because I want people to do things my way, even though I know that it's not always the best or the right way.
7. I'm a huge sports fan, but I don't care about the statistics of the games. I don't care how many assists Lebron James has or how many yards Dallas Clark gets, I just want to watch the game.
8. I love to eat, but I can't eat a lot at one sitting. I get full very fast and when I'm ready to go I want to go.
9. I talk a big game about having confidence, but really I'm terrified that people are fake to me about being my friend. (Got burned in the past by some friends)
10. I look forward to becoming like my mom. I've always loved her, but I love who she has become the past 7 years.
Now I'm supposed to pass this on to 5 people.

26 week update
Your Baby: Month 6
Let your spouse put an ear to your belly -- he might be able to pick up baby's heartbeat (no stethoscope required). Inside the womb, the formation of tiny capillaries is giving him a healthy pink glow. He's also soaking up my antibodies, getting the immune system ready for life outside the womb. Eyes are forming, and baby will soon perfect the blink -- perfect for batting those freshly grown lashes.
About me
How far along? 26 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 8 or 9 lbs
Maternity clothes? yes and I love them. I still wear my regular jeans on the weekend though
Stretch marks?yup....BOOOOOOOOO
Sleep: Love it!
Best moment this week: It's hard to pick one. I love seeing my belly grow, I love feeling him move
Movement:: He's a very active boy! I've started playing classical lullabies on my ipod for him to listen to. Instead of going to sleep he was kicking for over an hour. lol
Food cravings: Veggies, steak, cheese sauce, salt and vinegar chips and my new love... Bailey's flavored ice cream.
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: nada, but I am starting to feel Braxton Hicks contractions.
Belly Button in or out? in, but it isn't as deep
What I miss: sleeping completely on my stomach. I'm not going to lie, I'm still over halfway sleeping on my belly, but it's getting a little more difficult.
What I am looking forward to: Taking little dude to the Colts play off game on Saturday!
Weekly Wisdom: Same as always, enjoy your pregnancy
Milestones: Making it another week.
Do you think I'm small for 26 weeks? I've had so many people tell me that the past 2 weeks.

Vegas and ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?
Chris and I had a great time in Vegas. Well, it was nice to be able to spend that time with Chris, but being pregnant in Vegas is hard. I got tired so quickly, I feel like I know where every single bathroom is in every hotel there. Chris was very understanding and only picked on me a little for having to walk slower. We ate at new places this year like Blondies and BB Kings bbq. We also went to the Shark Reef Aquarium and that was amazing!
We stayed at Aria in the new City Center. It opened up about 3 or 4 weeks ago and we weren't impressed. Last year we stayed at Encore which had opened about 3 weeks before we stayed there and it was so much better. Since I spent so much time in the hotel room I heard the building pop all time from the metal heating up. We were on the 34th floor and it sounded like we were on the 1st floor from all the noise. We could also hear the guests staying in the room next to us. That sucked really bad when I was trying to go to sleep at 9:30 and they were having what sounded like party in there.
Oh and by the way.....99 days to go until little dude is born. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? I'm in the double digits? ::Fans self:: If this isn't a kick in the butt to get things ready for him I don't know what is. lol

Update from the Dr and some thoughts
I'm measuring 24 1/2 weeks which is right on target. Little dude's heart rate was 160 and Dr. B was very pleased with that. He kicked/punched the doppler and she asked if I heard that thud. I was like yeah and felt it too. lol I only gained 2 lbs this month which is amazing! I ate sooooooooo much this past month. She asked how I did it and honestly I have no clue. I feel like I ate my weight in steak and rolls at Texas Roadhouse on Saturday night.
Next appointment is Feb 1st and then I start going every 2 weeks. My next appointment is the dreaded glucose test to see if I have gestational diabetes. I also have an u/s that morning since little dude was way too active at my 20 week appointment to get all of his measurements.
I've been having mild anxiety attacks since New Years Day. I keep freaking out and being worried that I won't be emotionally or mentally prepared for him. I know that Chris and I will be "stuff" ready for him, but I'm worried I won't be a good mom. Someone asked on my message board what our favorite memory of 2009 was. Almost everyone answered having the baby or finding out they were pregnant. While that's one of my top memories, my favorite was going to Ireland and that makes me feel like I'm going to be a bad mom. I know it's normal to have these worries, but I'm usually not a worrier and pretty laid back. I feel a huge connection to him, but I think I have a wall up with my emotions and being afraid to be in love with him now. I guess because I know the reality of having a healthy baby is right up there with a miracle and until he's out I think I'm keeping myself guarded.
So there is my long sob story and feel a little better getting it out there. I'll do my 25 week update when I get back from Vegas on Tuesday.

Got my first stranger comment last night
Chris and I were supposed to go on a date, dinner and a movie, well I made it to dinner and then fell asleep. We went to Texas Roadhouse (mmm steak) and the hostess started to ask if we wanted smoking or non. She stopped mid-phrase and said oh, you need nonsmoking. It made me smile.
I see the dr tomorrow so I'll update after that.

Best way to start the New Year
We woke up this morning at my friend Scott and Erin's house after a really fun night of not drinking (for me). We had pancakes and bacon. We got home and Chris took about an hour and a half nap. When he woke up, Snoopy and I went upstairs and took a 3 hour nap. Now we're watching the Rose Bowl, GO OSU, and I wouldn't change any of it.
Pointless post? Maybe, but I love having this lazy day before we really start on the nursery this weekend and start to get ready for this little guy to come.
